The list of potential camping activities is only limited by your imagination. Here’s a sampling:

- Slingshots
- Outdoor toys, such as Melissa and Doug’s wide selection
- Exploring with a magnifying glass and binoculars
- Making leaf rubbings
- Scavenger hunts
- Junior Ranger programs in National Parks
- Drawing
- Keeping a nature log or trip diary
- Balancing on logs
- Flashlight tag
- Craft projects, including crafts with sticks and twigs
- Alphabet scavenger hunt (kids need to spot something with starting with each letter of the alphabet in order)
- Biking
- Card games
- Building fairy houses in the woods (encourage at least loose adherence to Leave No Trace principles)
